A smiling young girlis standing happily amongst four large bat creatures, who all look happy to see her. She is holding a large yellow bag, and is wearing a black vest over a pink shirt, a white beanie, a red scarf, and pink boots. She is petting one of the bats gently. There are two eggs on the ground, patterned after two of the bat creatures.

Bat Appreciation Day 2021 — Colony Caretaker

April 17th was Bat Appreciation Day! Bats play a vital role in ecosystems all across the planet, but are often villainized undeservingly.

Please look into your local bat conservation and rehabilitation centers, and consider donating to them if possible.

If you would like more information about the importance of bats, as well as the threats they are facing and how you can help, please check Merlin Tuttle's Bat Conservation (https://www.merlintuttle.org/)! They take donations too to help bats in various ways!

(Pokémon and its properties belong to The Pokémon Company.)
